Lent

This year, Lent begins Wednesday, March 06, 2019 and ends Saturday April 20, 2019.

Many Christians see Lent as a time of penance, fasting and self-denial. This is far from a mandate in Baptist churches. Self-examination, practicing spiritual discipline and drilling down in the Word is always a worthy focus for the Christ-centered life. If one chooses a personal focus, remembering how Christ suffered for us, died for us, rose for us, redeemed us and advocates for us, the benefits will be spiritually life evolving.

Please consider 40 days of intentional prayer and praise times during the forty days of Lent. Choose your song for the Lenten season and really listen closely to it and sing it every day. As we read through the Bible this year, I pray that your prayer, praise and study time will bring you to joy-filled worship and renewed determination to serve Christ on RESURRECTION SUNDAY April 21, 2019.
