Participants must attend two (2) 4-hour sessions. Trainings include:
Identify the impact of mental health challenges on the well-being of adults
Describe the purpose of Mental Health First Aid and the role of the Aider
Increase awareness of common mental disorders
Recognize the signs and symptoms
Learn the 5 steps of the Mental Health First Aid Action Plan
Learn the impact of early intervention
Learning to apply the appropriate steps for action plan and appropriate methods for self care
