Prison Ministry

The Mission of the SJBC Prison Ministry is to bring the gospel of Jesus Christ to those who are presently or previously incarcerated. We do this by correspondence or visits when possible.

The Great Commission compels Christians to go into all the world and minister to all people. Our goals are (i) to present the gospel in a way that is clear and understandable so as to teach God's word through life changing scripture, (ii) to touch lives of those incarcerated, to restore hope through the love of Jesus Christ for closer and personal relationship,

Holding Hands

and (iii) to present salvation through faith, a clear understanding of the Gospel and to encourage them to lead spiritual and productive lives.

Through Our Mission, We:

  • Reach out to presently and previously incarcerated inmates with the hope that can only be found in Jesus Christ.

  • Schedule visits to prisons, and juvenile detention centers.

  • Bless children of inmates with school supplies and presents for Christmas

  • Provide Resources for women affected by incarceration.

  • Write letters of encouragement and support through our Pen Pal program.

  • Reach out to their families through fellowship and prayer.

  • Pray and support these individuals through their journeys.
